Sample Mi~Score® breast cancer risk profile report showing density maps and personalised risk estimates.

Mi~Score® · Personalised breast cancer risk profile

From your measurement to a clearer personal picture

Mi~Score® builds on your Mi~Scan® density measurement — combining it with established risk factors to create a clear, personalised breast cancer risk profile and visual density maps you can understand and track over time.

Turning measurement into meaning

A Mi~Scan® tells you your breast density. Mi~Score® goes a step further: it takes that objective density data and combines it with the personal and family factors known to affect breast cancer risk, to produce a clear, personalised risk profile.

The result is a report you can understand and discuss — showing your density, visual density maps of each breast, and personalised risk estimates that help you have informed conversations about your own breast health and screening choices.

Three inputs, one clear picture

Mi~Score® brings together three sources of information to build your personalised profile.

Your density data

Objective breast density measured by your Mi~Scan® — an input that normally requires a mammogram.

Your clinical profile

A short questionnaire covering the personal, reproductive, family and lifestyle factors that affect risk.

Established risk models

Globally recognised breast cancer risk models, Tyrer-Cuzick and BOADICEA, used in NHS risk pathways.

Your Mi~Score® profile

A clear, personalised breast cancer risk profile with density maps you can track over time.

What your Mi~Score® report shows

Density maps

Visual maps of each breast, highlighting tissue differences between your breasts and between scans.

Personalised risk estimates

Your breast cancer risk presented over different timeframes, drawn from clinically established models.

Trends over time

By repeating your scan, you can see how your density and profile change — turning awareness into trackable data.

The science behind your score

Mi~Score® uses Tyrer-Cuzick and BOADICEA — two of the most widely used breast cancer risk models, recognised in NHS risk pathways — drawing on six categories of evidence to build your profile.

Personal profile

Age, height, weight and menopausal status.

Reproductive history

Factors such as age at first period, pregnancies, and HRT or contraceptive use.

Breast tissue

Your objective breast density from Mi~Scan®, plus any relevant biopsy history.

Family history

Breast cancer among close relatives and the ages at diagnosis.

Genetic profile

Known risk genes such as BRCA1 and BRCA2, where information is available.

Lifestyle factors

Factors including alcohol, physical activity and weight history.

Mi~Score® is delivered through Mi~Scan®+, a regulated Class I software medical device. It is a risk-profiling tool to support informed discussion — it is not a diagnostic device and does not diagnose breast cancer. Any clinical decisions should be made with a qualified healthcare professional.

Why a personalised profile matters

  • Density you couldn’t otherwise know. Mi~Scan® provides objective breast density without a mammogram — a key risk input now accessible to women of any age.
  • A clearer understanding of your own risk. Personalised estimates help you understand what’s relevant to you, rather than a general population average.
  • Informed conversations. Your profile supports better discussions with healthcare professionals about screening and monitoring choices.
  • Something you can track. Repeat scans let you and your clinician see how your profile changes over time.
