Cookie Notice
Version 1.0. Last updated 1 September 2026. This notice explains the cookies and similar technologies we use on micrima.com. For everything else about how we use your information, see our Privacy Notice.
1. What this covers
Like most websites, we store small amounts of information on your device, and read information back from it. This includes cookies, and also similar technologies such as browser local storage and small tracking images embedded in pages and emails. In this notice we call all of these "cookies".
Some are necessary for the site to work. Others are only used if you agree to them.
2. Your choices
When you first arrive we show you a banner. It offers Deny alongside Allow all, in the same place and with the same prominence, and every optional category starts switched off. Nothing used for analytics or advertising is stored on your device unless you turn it on. Our booking page works differently, because the calendar and its payment protection have to load for the page to do anything at all — section 3.5 sets out exactly what that involves.
You can change your choice, or withdraw it altogether, at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of every page. Refusing does not stop you using the site, requesting the guide or booking an appointment.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may then not work properly. Your browser's help pages explain how.
3. What we use
3.1 Strictly necessary — always on
These make the site work and cannot be switched off. We do not need your consent for them.

We do not use a Meta (Facebook) tracking pixel on this website. We removed it in August 2026 and it will not be reinstated without a proper consent control in place. We do share limited information with Meta from our own systems about advertising performance — our Privacy Notice explains this, and it does not involve cookies on this site.
3.4 Content from other websites
Some pages include content hosted elsewhere. When that content loads, the other organisation may set its own cookies and will receive your IP address. This includes:
- YouTube — embedded videos
- Crowdcube — our investment campaign banner
- Adobe Typekit and Google Fonts — the typefaces used on the site
These organisations use the information they collect for their own purposes, described in their own privacy policies.
3.5 Booking pages
Our booking page at /book shows the appointment calendar inside the page rather than sending you elsewhere. That calendar is provided by Acuity Scheduling, and it carries Stripe’s payment handling with it. Both set information on your device as soon as the booking page opens, so that the calendar can hold your place while you choose a time and the payment step is protected against fraud. This happens only on the booking page. Nothing here is used for advertising, and Stripe does not receive your card details from us — you enter them with Stripe directly.

Acuity Scheduling and Stripe use what they collect for their own purposes as well, described in their own privacy policies. Our Privacy Notice explains what we share with them and why.
4. Emails
Our marketing emails contain a small image that loads when you open the message, which tells us the email was opened, and links that record when they are clicked. We use this to see which information people find useful and to prioritise follow-up. You can stop it by blocking images in your email program, by unsubscribing from any email, or by emailing info@micrima.com.
