Our Services
Please note that all of our services require a physical scan of your breasts at a Mi~Scan® provider (either directly from Micrima or through one of our partners). When buying your service please be careful to select the location that is closest to you. If you believe you have made a mistake, with your order, then please just contact us at orders@micrima.com and we will get this resolved for you.
Basic Assessment
The Micrima basic risk assessment involves measuring your breast density using Micrima’s wholly novel Radio Frequency Mi~Scan® device.
The measurement is completely safe and pain free and takes just over a minute, once you have removed your upper clothing (the device does need to make contact with your skin). From this scan you will receive a 0-100% breast density score, for each breast and also an American College of Radiology standard BI-RADS breast density classification. This breast density score can be used to feed in and increase the accuracy of online breast cancer risk assessments and will also enable you to understand the risk of Mammography detecting cancer. Online resources like MyDensityMatters can then help guide you in understanding what this measurement means to you.
Standard Assessment
Our standard assessment includes the Mi~Scan® density measurement, from the Basic Assessment. In addition, you will receive an email with a secure link to our online Mi~Scan®+ environment where you will complete a breast cancer risk assessment using our Mi~Score® product.
Mi~Score® will walk you through a set of questions about your family history, lifestyle and hormonal changes that have taken place in your life (like your first period and child related events). You don’t need to answer all the questions but the more information you can provide, the more accurate your risk scores will be. You can also save your responses at any point and come back to them.
Once you have completed and submitted your Mi~Score® questionnaire and completed your Mi~Scan® breast density measurement, you will receive a copy of your breast cancer risk report via email.
Premium Assessment
A Micrima Premium Assessment provides everything from our Basic and Standard assessments but adds a breast density map, of each breast. This map provides a 0-100% breast density score for 8 segments of each breast. This can enable you to track any unexpected changes in tissue properties, in any segment of the breast, between scans
Micrima is constantly developing and improving our algorithms to understand the information we can see from each scan. With a premium assessment you also have the option to have your data saved for up to ten years. Your data is then available to be used with any future algorithm development (may be subject to additional charge)

Please note that the CE marking process has taken place under the new European Medical Device Regulations. This has involved two years of clinical trial and expert notified body review to ensure the performance and safety of our products are as specified.
