Micrima attend the 2018 British Society of Breast Radiologists annual meeting
Micrima attended and helped sponsor this year’s annual meeting for the British Society of Breast Radiologists (BSBR).
The event (held between the 4rd and 6th of November in Gateshead) was very well attended and addressed current challenges for the breast imaging community as well as the developments that could shape the future.
Day one focussed on technology and trial updates. Interesting talks from various clinicians around the UK involved in the latest trials providing information on the SMALL, NOSTRA and OPTIMAM projects. This was followed by interesting presentations on AI and its possible uses in breast radiology. The day was finished with a presentation on academic research in the USA.
Day two continued with presentations on some of the current controversies in breast radiology, more on the digital era and how this may influence breast radiology. The day closed with interesting talks regarding trials in Breast Imaging. The LIESL trial at the Royal Marsden using MARIA was featured in this section.
The final day concentrated on the future direction of breast radiology, followed by 6 offered papers.
As well as exhibiting the MARIA technology, Micrima were also represented in the poster exhibition with an overview of the LIESL trials providing initial observations from this important clinical study.
