Micrima is a small start-up company based in Bristol. We are in the later stages of developing and commercialising a new technology for detecting breast cancer using radio-waves that has the potential to completely transform how breast cancer is detected. We are looking to expand the clinical team with an additional Applications specialist to support existing users, train and support new users and support the R&D team

Job Purpose and Primary Objective

• User training and assessment, including development of novel training processes and materials
• Operating MARIA® and/ or managing protocol execution as part of clinical research trials at collaborator sites
• Providing general clinical support to commercial and research deployments of MARIA® including potential customer visits and external meetings such as trade exhibitions
• Identifying potential sites for clinical trial collaboration/ Early sales

Roles and Responsibilities

• Contribute to System design and development of company product by carrying out volunteer studies, lab based experiments and providing the customer view
• Provide training to clinicians and other end-users who use the company's product
• Handling customer complaints and feedback from company clinical trial sites/ customers
• Document and records management for clinical activities
• Support development and maintenance of Technical/Clinical Files

Qualifications and skills

• Experience of breast imaging ideally as a mammographer/ Sonographer
• Min 3 years as an applications specialist in a medical devices company
• Good written and aural communication skills
• Ability to communicate with clinicians whose first language isn’t English
• Ability to communicate clinical needs to scientific engineers who do not have experience of the clinical environment

Not Essential

• Good clinical Practice qualification

This position will be based at home but will require a significant amount of travel to customer sites in Europe to carry out training and support of sites. Time will also be required in the Bristol office to support the development of the system
